Terms of Service

Last updated 4 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Trustcircl (the "service"), operated by Will Perry. By creating an account or joining a group you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What Trustcircl is

Trustcircl is a private skills directory for groups whose members already know each other (typically families and tight-knit communities). Each group is private and admin-approved; members add themselves with their skills, and other members search for someone they need.

We provide the platform. We don't vouch for, employ, or supervise the people listed in any directory. Listings reflect what members say about themselves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 to use Trustcircl. If you're using it on behalf of a family or community group, you represent that you have permission to invite the people you do.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication. Tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Trustcircl to:

Group admins are responsible for the membership of their group and for moderating listings within it. We may suspend or delete groups that violate these terms.

5. Hiring and being hired

Trustcircl helps you find people. It is not an employment agency, escrow service, or transaction platform. Any work, payment, contract, or arrangement made between members happens directly between them. We are not a party to it.

You are responsible for verifying qualifications, insurance, and licences yourself before hiring. Trust within your circle is the point of the service โ€” but trust is not a substitute for due diligence on regulated work (electrical, gas, structural, legal, medical, etc).

6. Content you submit

You retain all rights to the information you submit (your profile, skills, notes, website link, etc). By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process it as required to run the service. You can withdraw that licence at any time by deleting your profile or account.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the service running but make no promises about uptime, accuracy of listings, or feature stability. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Planned maintenance will be communicated where practical.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts (or whole groups) that breach these terms, after giving notice where reasonably practical. Termination doesn't affect anything that happened before it โ€” outstanding obligations between members continue to exist independently.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Trustcircl is provided "as is" with no warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service, including any disputes, work, or transactions between you and other members. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things which can't legally be excluded (death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of United Kingdom.

11. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. If a change is material we'll notify you by email and at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
